Why Exercise?

At Positive Move PT, we want to encourage people of all ages to build strength based exercise and regular exercise or movement into their lifestyle. There is a large amount of research supporting the benefits of regular strength training and cardiovascular exercise throughout our lives, and you are never to old to start! The positive health and wellbeing changes are:

  • Improved strength and endurance for daily tasks
  • Improved bone health
  • Improved balance
  • Reduced risk of injury
  • Reduced risk of falls
  • Weight maintenance
  • Decreased risk of long term disease such as cardiovascular and diabetes
  • Improved mental health and self esteem

Home Exercise Focus

We provide programmes using body weight, free weights and resistance bands which are designed to be completed in your own home.

Often a barrier to exercise is allocating time within busy schedules, therefore having home based workouts can help to more easily build exercise into your routine.
